Q: Why the delay in opening?

A: Building a market of this size is a tremendously complex undertaking and we wanted our neighborhood market to be the best fit for the community. With that said, a great deal of time and effort went into every detail as we expanded on our original vision for Roma Market. These upgrades as well as City and Health Department permitting, created long lead times for approvals. The great news is that it was all worth our patience and we can’t wait for the opportunity to serve you!

Q: Are you dog and/or pet friendly?

A: Your furry little friends are welcome on our bistro patio on Beech Street (adjacent to our main entry), however only service animals are permitted inside the market, on the Columbia Street patio, or in the internal fountain courtyard area. Thank you for your understanding!

Q: Do you source any organic products?

A: Yes! We offer organic pre-packed veggies in our Produce Department as well as a variety of organic items throughout the store. Tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll do our best to find it!

Q: Do you carry everyday “go-to” household items that I need?

A: Absolutely – as a true “urban marketplace” we carry a variety of everyday items such as paper goods, cleaning supplies and toiletries. As well as chilled necessities such as eggs, milk, OJ, yogurt, butter, etc.

Q: If I have a suggestion for products to carry, who do I send that to?

A: We’re here to listen and your input is valued – please submit any product requests via our website @ www.romaurbanmarket.com and click “Product Comments” at the top of the screen. Please be as specific as possible and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

Q: Can I consume alcoholic beverages at the market?

A: You can enjoy a frosty beer or a glass of wine at the wine & beer bar inside the market as well as on the Columbia Street Patio, but alcohol is not permitted in any other area of the market including the Beech Street patio or internal fountain courtyard area. Customers can also purchase retail wine and beer inside the market and enjoy their drinks at the bar or Columbia patio – no corkage fee! However, retail distilled spirits cannot be opened or consumed onsite.

Q: Is there dining/seating inside the market?

A: True to our urban market heritage, customers can enjoy their meals at the Coffee/Wine/Beer bar, on the Columbia Street and Beech Street patios, as well as in the internal fountain courtyard area.

Q: What is your smoking policy?

A: Smoking is not permitted inside the market, in the courtyard fountain area or on either the Beech St or Columbia patios.

Q: Do you carry any gluten free products?

A: Yes, we strive to carry a variety of products for various dietary needs. We can also make to-go pizzas with gluten free crust! Delicious.

Q: Do you offer any kind of delivery service?

A: You can enjoy all of Roma’s eats right from your living room couch while ordering via Uber Eats (soon to be joined by Roma’s very own delivery service at a later date).

Q: Do you source any products locally?

A: Supporting our local community is important to us and you’ll find that several craft beers on tap are from local San Diego brewers as well as other food and non-food items from local providers.
